Network Planning

Network design

Marhaba studies the customer requirements and presents a network design that is tailored to their needs. Marhaba can recommend a network topology and configuration that is both robust and cost-effective yet flexible enough to meet dynamically changing business requirements and be adaptable to rapid technological advances.

Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) analysis

The performance degradation due to intra-system and inter-system co-channel and adjacent channel interference is analyzed so Marhaba can provide recommendations concerning the frequency planning/arrangement that can resolve or minimize interference issues.

Site survey

A survey team is dispatched to proposed sites to inspect and determine the suitability of the site and any existing structures within for its intended application and to verify site accessibility, the availability of power and water, the necessary civil works and logistics, etc., that may be required onsite during the project implementation. Line-of-sight verification is also conducted for microwave radio application sites.

Project Management

Materials and logistics management

Throughout the project duration, material resources are managed to ensure that supplies and components are delivered on schedule and undamaged, and that inventory are kept at levels that will ensure a smooth and consistent progress of the project.

Personnel management

During the project implementation stage, Marhaba ensures that sufficient and qualified human resources are available for ongoing activities, and that tasks are assigned and distributed to personnel in a manner that will fulfill a smooth and uninterrupted completion of the project.

Quality control

Marhaba strives for the project to be completed quickly and on time while at the same time adhering to high quality standards. Throughout the installation phase inspections are made to ensure the high quality of all installation works and that any quality issues that are found are quickly resolved.

Installation

Site development, civil works and installation

The foundation is prepared and the necessary utilities are provided for the construction of site structures such as buildings, antenna towers and shelters. Any cabling work, grounding and lighting systems, and other supporting structures required at the site are laid out and constructed.

Testing and commissioning

Final acceptance tests are conducted to verify that each component or subsystem of the network is operating properly and are performing according to accepted international standards.

After-sales support

O&M agreement:

During the transition period after network turnover or until such time that customer s staff has gained the experience and confidence in operating and maintaining the network, Marhaba can arrange for an experienced support engineer/s onsite who can assist and provide the support that is necessary for the effective day-to-day operations of the network.  Support activities in O&M agreements include:

Preventive Maintenance:

This involves carrying out periodic equipment checks and if necessary, adjustments are carried out to ensure that the all the equipment is operating at its optimum in order to provide the highest network reliability.

Fault Isolation and troubleshooting : Marhaba engineers can provide the necessary assistance in troubleshooting network faults to promptly restore regular network operations. The cause/s of failure or service interruption is/are analyzed and recommendations that will prevent or minimize the re-occurrence of the fault are provided..

Performance Monitoring:

Various network parameters related to the performance of the network are monitored to detect any degradation of network performance. This would allow the operator to initiate the necessary steps required to prevent any service interruption and maintain or improve the quality of service provided (QOS) to its customers.

Training:

Subscribing to the belief that having well-trained staff is one of the keys to achieving and maintaining a high network reliability, Marhaba can arrange training programs that will ensure that customer s staff are armed with the adequate knowledge and skill to operate and maintain the equipment and to perform initial troubleshooting that is required to normalize network operation in the least possible time.
